Archive access policy
Original files are preserved even when they are not ready for public access. Before publication, material is reviewed for accuracy, copyright, outdated contact details, and information about living people. Guestbooks and correspondence require special privacy review.

From file drawers to a digital archive
The former Society recorded that its research grew into fourteen file drawers, boxes, books, and twenty-two scrapbooks. Copies of research records were sent to the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana, beginning in the 1990s so they could remain available to researchers.
The renewed Society will continue identifying what exists, documenting sources, and determining which material may be shared online.
